MOVEMBER BLOG ONE

XX
XXWanna know a little more? K, let’s get a bit specific…

XXBecause of the danger prostate cancer poses to men throughout the world, it’s super important to keep up on our health. It’s easy to forget about some mysterious thing that we have never, and likely never will see. So the stache is a strange and constant reminder that this year 4,400 men will lose the fight against prostate cancer.

XXIn line with Skate4Cancer’s belief that the cure is knowledge, the first step is always prevention. If we can get dudes stoked on getting medical check-ups, we’re into it. We’re supporting this innovative cause by taking part and encouraging all guys to do the same. But because we’re not really into the money thing, this isn’t a fundraiser for us. We’ll just be focusing on awareness as usual. Grow a milk-hammock, get checked out… by doctors.

Here’s how it works:

XXAs of November 1st, every guy shaves his face clean. The next part is easy; just grow out a heavy burner in whatever style you think is best for you. Remember though, the more attention it brings the better because then you’re likely to get more questions. And when that happens, you explain that you’re just saving lives… No biggy.

XXBut girls, don’t feel left out! We’re in this together right? Support Movember by encouraging your guy friends to go for it. And when they give excuses, or lose resolve mid-Movember, remind them how great they look and how superman’s got nothing on them.

XXAt the end of the glorious month, your hairy new face decoration should have a name and a place in your heart forever. Before-and-after photos are either a good or a bad idea…we’re not sure. In any case, once Movember comes to a close, gather some friends and celebrate! Party like Burt Reynolds! You’ve earned it you Mo-bros and Mo-sistas. Now take a deep breath and stretch it out. Ready? Set……. MO!!!
